& Our Homes
History
Harrison Homes was established 8 years ago by Paulyn Brown, a qualified registered Social Worker with HCPC and over 30 years’ experience. The aim was and still is to providing high quality respite and long-term residential care for young adults with learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, brain injury, mild disability mental health and behaviours that might be challenging.
Harriston Homes is committed to equal opportunities and respects and promotes diversity and difference in relation to people’s identity, culture and lifestyle.
The support provided is based on this premise and takes into account all areas of individual difference, which include gender, ethnic origin, sexuality, religious and spiritual beliefs, disability and age.
We recognise the need for high quality supported transition for young adults moving from Children’s Services to Adult services, as this can be an anxious time for young adults and their families. Our experienced staff have experience of working in partnership with the NHS and Local authorities to make the transition a positive and successful experience.
We also have experience of working in partnership with Intensive Support Teams to provide the best possible service for our young adults and their families.
